In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), a mobile sink refers to a device that can roam and gather data from sensor nodes. Unlike sinks that remain fixed, mobile sinks have the advantage of movement making them valuable for data retrieval in large or dynamic environments. This capability enhances energy efficiency load balancing and reliability when collecting data. However, utilizing mobile sinks necessitates implementing protocols to handle their movement and ensure communication, with sensor nodes.
